Michael Ash, owner of Blue Canyon Enterprises, Inc., began his career in 1979 as an electrical drafter for Ackerman Engineers, in Palo Alto , CA . After learning the basics of design and drafting, he took a position as a designer/drafter at Rosendin Electric, Inc. in 1981, where he expanded his knowledge of the electrical industry.

In 1990, Michael joined Cupertino Electric as their first electrical detailer, where he was involved in many of their larger projects. After several years in the field, it was time to return to the office environment. This is where he began to combine his field experience with the design side of the design/build process.

So in 1997, Michael started Special Projects and was servicing primarily the smaller electrical contractor. With time, he began to expand his customer base.

Today, the company is known as Blue Canyon Enterprises, Inc., and services a diverse clientele with a wide range of project types. It is no longer a home- based business, and it continues growing. Blue Canyon remains the best outsource design and drafting service available to the electrical contractor.
